2010 Weekend Schedule
Civil War Days is different event every year.
However, we do not change the times or locations of Major Activities from year to year,
so you can make your plans around them with confidence.
The 2010 Schedule (below) is a tentative one, so be sure and check back closer to Labor Day weekend.
We are adding several new features for 2010 and, of course,
continuing ones that have been successful year after year.
Our School Day Program (Friday, September 3, 2010) is expanding dramatically
and will remain free of charge. We continue
our support for collaboration among reenactors as we approach 2011,
are proud to be an MCWRA Max Effort event,
and are an active participant in & sponsor of the
2011-2015 Iowa Civil War Sesquicentennial Celebration.
We are particularly indebted to the Iowa Arts Council, Humanities Iowa, Iowa Tourism,
Living History Farm,
and the numerous individual lovers of history for
supplying our event with a roster of world-class living historians over the years.
We are always on the hunt for additional activities that broaden the appeal of Civil War Days
and that might be particularly popular,
and we will continue to do so right up until the event itself.
As a result, we may add additional speakers and performers in August,
so check back for schedule updates right up until Labor Day weekend.
